Andrew Ingram Video Productions was born in early 2008 after Andrew Ingram teamed up with Andrew Chicken to produce a visual history of their Sea Rescue Station at Bakoven for the 40th anniversary celebration.

Ingram joined the Sea Rescue as a volunteer in 1980 and is currently a coxswain on station and Chicken, who is a deputy coxswain joined in 1993
Combining their talents they produced a piece that was so well received that they decided to have some more fun. While playing around with High Definition Video they were commissioned by Eddy Cassar to film pieces on the Taste of Cape Town Festival and the Cape Argus Cycle Tour Expo.

They have also produced a full length DVD on the 2008 Vodacom Funny Festival and an 'up close and personal' documentary on a local African performing talent based at the V&A Waterfront.

Using Ingram's twenty-odd years in news photography and Chicken's musical and editing talents, their latest masterpiece is a 12 minute film on … you guessed it - Sea Rescue.

Their specialty is a small unobtrustive crew (often only the two of them), producing short pieces that will evoke an emotional response from the audience and writing original scores for each piece. Often combining still images, location sound, video and original music they delight in multi-media for DVD or the web.

Ingram works with a Canon XHA1 HDV camera, Chicken slings an HV 30 - they both throw in some fancy len's and their editing is done on the mother of all Macs using Final Cut Studio 2 and Logic Studio, among other software.
